Allow me to articulate the first step to solving many of these issues: Don't wait for November. Get involved at any level to destroy the Democratic Party before they destroy us. It's a race and they are a lap ahead. Do not defeat them. That won't do. Decimate them. The Hispanic community is chomping at the bit to help. We have a once in a lifetime chance. Let's not miss it. Our children's future literally depends on it.
We are singing the same song, Vaughn! The whole goal of Dangerous Rhetoric is to empower everyday citizens with the information and resources they need to get involved! Even a letter writing campaign can have an impact.
I'm not in an area with a large Hispanic community, but there are many areas in Washington State have are majority Hispanic. What do you recommend for reaching out to that community and sparking more serious involvement with local, county, regional and state issues
They seem to very much keep to themselves. Most of them in my area are seasonal workers following the cotton crop across the country. I happen to know ALL the cotton gin owners in the whole state and I can think of NO one group that is more conservative than them on the good side and the bad. Maybe a voters registration opportunity at the gins? Most if not all of the roofers in this area are Hispanic as well.
